It took a moment to recognize the future Captain Kirk talking about Project Vulcan in the second episode of series 2 of The Outer Limits, which was made in 1964.
No surprise that he started doing buckets of ham over-acting. It just goes to show that everything in American TV is connected and everything is recycled.
