The best way to treat someone who’s being unreasonable all the time for ego reasons is to tell them you find their attitude offensive and you’re going to report them to the police as a hate crime.
    If done often enough, it might persuade the offender to think at least once before uttering, and if the police are deluged with complaints, it might persuade the nation’s police forces to think again about inventing spurious hate crimes instead of investigating real crimes.
