Inappropriate Nomenclature

How totally ridiculous it is to to call someone who attacked a celeb with a knife with hundreds of people looking on in a lecture theatre a ‘suspect’.
    He’s a perpetrator.
    No doubt about it with that many witnesses.
    And when he goes to gaol instead of the electric chair in New York state, he’ll be an ‘incarcerated person’ instead of an ‘inmate’ as that word makes criminals uncomfortable. No wonder Americans have their reputation for being weird.
