What we need now is a successor who will tell SAGE to “Calm down, dears” when they get their collective knickers in a twist over a new plague variant, like the one brewed up in Nepal, and the alleged experts start spreading baseless scare stories about it making vaccines ineffective and everyone should go and hide in a cave.
