Someone (I’ve never heard of) played (a character name I don’t know) in a TV series I’ve heard of but never watched. Which doesn’t tell me a whole lot about Mr. or Ms X when he/she/it gets a name check in a newspaper snippet.
Except to leave me with the impression that the person concerned is of no great importance!
