The newspaper picture of the Chinese President, Mr. Eleven, doing a walk-past along a line of soldiers in Moscow was rather amusing – probably unintentionally, though.
All the kids with guns and bayonets looked young enough and naive enough to play Private Pike in another remake of Dad’s Army. And the comical thing was that they all had their nose stuck up in the air – in a very Pike-like posture – and seemed to be looking down on the little foreign visitor with bucketfuls of contempt.
