It was looking a bit brighter for 27 laps of MotoGP in far off Indonesia. Lots of action on lap 1. Martin and Viñales gapped the field. Marini crashed out on lap 3. Espargaro went on lap 4. Marc Marquez and his uncompetitive Honda went down on lap 8.
Brad Binder pushed Olivera off the track for an excursion with 17 laps to go. Fernandez then Mir crashed on lap 13. Martin crashed out from the lead on lap 14!!! Zarco was gone a couple of laps later.
A ‘finish and you get points’ day?
Bagnaia closed up on the leader, Viñales, and went past with 7 laps to go. Quateraro chased hard but stayed 3rd. Bagnaia is the series leader again, just ahead of Martin.
