Don’t raise the bank rate again and plunge us into recession, yelled the newspaper pundit on Wednesday. As the Gov. of the Bank of England did raise it to 5.25%, that suggests he’s hell-bent on creating a recession; something advocated by a bloke who used to be his advisor. And we’re paying him to do this?
