I hate Windows 8.1

And another thing, after “upgrading” to Windows 8.1, all sorts of stuff no longer worked because of driver problems. Like there was no sound over the HDMI cable when I plugged the laptop in to a big TV to watch movies streamed from archive.org. So add the time taken to sort that out, plus all the other niggles, to the two and a half hours wasted initially and it all starts adding up to a considerable sum.
