It’s just the way things are

We’re hearing a lot of accusations that the British troops who were murdered by Talibandits in Afghanistan died in vain. But if they did, that’s just unfortunate. And The Universe doesn’t come with a guarantee that every life has to be meaningful and everyone has to make a lasting difference.
    In fact, it’s nothing to do with the dead soldiers and everything to do with the drug culture and the mega-amounts of cash the Talibandits are making and will make from their drug farms in Afghanistan.
    But on the positive side, the troops have frustrated the Taliban’s drug growing and selling activities for 20 years That has to count for something. And if the Afghan people aren’t prepared to stand up to the Talibandits in order to have human rights and a modern way of life, that’s their choice.
