I’m currently reading Crescent Dawn by the Cusslers. Dirk Pitt and his wife were in Istanbul when Dirk spotted a lurker, who was is described as ‘a thin Persian’. Which means what? He had a beard and Turks don’t have them? Or he looked like a long-haired cat?
