“Prince Philip had a bevelled vigour”, I read in the paper. What? I suppose it’s a mark of good journalism if it sends you off to consult a dictionary to confirm the meaning and leave you nodding agreement over the aptness of the adjective.
The world needed someone like Phil The Greek to prod the pompous with a teasing finger. And still does.
