Worth Watching but bin the cliché

Deception @ 9 p.m. on Alibi on Friday looks a very promising series for magic fans. I’m not sure about the ongoing saga of the hissy tart who wanted Cameron’s brother in gaol, though.
    Yes,  it is different from the tedious yet apparently essential sub-plot of the detective looking for a relative’s killer. But different ain’t always that much of a recommendation. And this is just The Mental Case’s Red John done different.

Falls over in wonderment

The opening rant @ WW SmackDown! is usually fast-forward fodder because it’s usually someone boring like the Arse of the Table doing it.
    But John Cena’s effort was actually listenworthy. Just shows what they can do it they make a bit of an effort.

Making you think

Crossword clue: light umbrella (7). But its name tells you that a parasol is for sun not rain, was my initial reaction. But its name tells you that an umbrella is something for casting a shadow rather anything to do with rain.
    So that’s me feeling educated.

Is it sad there could be no input from the Wise family in the extended jamboree around the lost episode of the Morcambe & Wise show, which turned up on a reel of ancient film? Like a lot of people, Ernie Wise died without descendants. But unlike a lot of people, his memory won’t die.
