Everyone who completes the ONS survey is referred to the website for a £5 voucher, which could be quite easily sent to the participant’s email address.
Worse, Professor Sir Ian Diamond, the Big Boss, expects visitors to the website to jump through all sorts of pointless hoops.
The whole pantomime is a prime example of the needless nit-picking that affects every part of the government machine and shows no sign of ever going away.
