Waste? It’s institutional

One of the staff has had four brown envelopes from HMRC over the last 3 days. The first was to tell him they’d bogged up calculating the amount of tax he should pay and he’s due for a refund. The next was the refund cheque. Then came an explanation of how they’d arrived at the amount of the refund. Finally, he got a tax code for 2014/15, to start in April. Why couldn’t all 4 have been put in one envelope to save on postage? Well, it’s only taxpayer’s money that’s being wasted.
