Always doomed to failure

“Not me, Gov!” seems to be the most powerful influence on politicians. Red Ed Milibandit would have nothing to do with publishing a Labour party report on Unite’s vote-rigging activities in the Falkirk constituency but he must have known that someone would leak it. Presumably, he did it so that he could assure his trade union paymasters that he had nothing to do with the leak. But is he likely to get any credit for the hands-off approach? Especially if he must have know there would be a leak eventually.
