Crossword quibbles

1. Every compiler who has to resort to golf peg (3) [tee] should have to pay everyone who completes the puzzle a quid.
2. The clue false gods (5) [idols] is invalid as you can’t have a false version of something that doesn’t exist, and the compiler should also have to fork out a quid.
