Why did 120 millionaires write a letter to the government begging to be taxed more when they could have gone to HMG‘s website and put some cash in the national coffers?
Was it attention seeking? Virtue flagging? Guilt at having accumulated wealth by doing nothing much, like the notorious tax avoider gbl? An attempt to drive even more rich people out of the UK? What?
