Our new Pretender Fantasist was splashing the cash around to buy votes right away. But, like his plan and the rest, we’re not allowed to know any details. Such as where the money is coming from. Which tells me that Jonah doesn’t know either. And it’s all just cosmetic puff.
● His abolition of 5% VAT on electricity is also unfunded. Even more tax rises to come?
● The VAT cut will be swallowed up by the rise in the energy cap.
● No cut for Northern Ireland, which is still in the dead grip of the EFU as far as VAT goes.
