Reprieve?

It seems that certain religious authorities let Christmas decorations stay in place until Candlemas (February 2nd) rather than demolishing them on 12th Night (January 6th).
    We are now waiting for next month with interest to see if our neighbours extinguish their external lights then, or keep them burning until the current lock-in ends.
