Legal piranha-fest

There’s going to be an inquiry into the government’s handling of the pandemic, but what will it achieve? It will drag on for at least 2 years and shove millions of pounds into the pockets of the legal trade, which will be hoping that people sue the government and give them even more dosh.
    It will come up with a bookful of recommendations for future disasters, few of which will be relevant to the next major disaster to hit us, and you can be sure that the civil service & quango wonks who caused all the problems will get off scot free.
    So what will it achieve? Not that much of any use.
