Clegg hopes that “voters will see past Huhne’s criminal behaviour” when they come to vote in the by-election caused by his eviction from the House of Common Criminals to one of Her Majesty’s Houses of Correction. Clegg is obviously so out of touch with real life that he doesn’t realize that it will be right at the front of the voter’s consciousness come polling day.
