The rain on Silverstone blew over and Canet pulled an early lead in the 17-lap Moto2 race. SLow set some fastest laps but he was way back in 10th place. Lopez fell off with 10 to go. Canet was crept up upon and had two riders on his tail in sunshine at half-way.
    Canet lost the lead and the stewards dropped him to third behind Acosta. The grey clouds didn’t unload. Aldeguer was safely out front and on his way to a first win. Sam Lowes finished 7th.

Virtuous Life

It’s rather comforting to skim through a celeb story in the paper; about the one whose PR company tried to get free cakes for a mention in OK magazine; and realize the names of the celeb’s allegedly famous co-stars are completely unfamiliar to me.
    I’m obviously not wasting all of my time on trivialities; just the bare minimum for amusement’s sake.

Best Ever?

Tyres needed activating on the MotoGP warm-up before 20 laps of Silverstone. Bagnaia had the early lead. Miller took a long trip off the track after a blunder. Alex Marquez had a bike break-down on lap 6. Bezzecchi crashed out of 2nd at 200 mph!
    White rain flags with 8 to go! Marc Marquez crashed out with 6 to go. Brad Binder joined the leaders; none of them swapping to a bike with wet tyres. Espargaro got past Bagnaia on the last lap and went on to win. Binder was 3rd and the comms were going on about this being the best British race of all time. But don't they always?

Back Again

It feels like MotoGP has been away forever rather than for a month. Back in Britain with Moto3. Lots of action at the front and the pole-sitter crashed on lap 3/15.
    Lots of passing & re-passing action. Another crash with 3 laps to go. Holgado was leading into the last lap, ahead of Alonso, who got past, dropped back then surged ahead for his first win. Sasaki 2nd and Holgado, the series leader, 3rd.

Myth in the making

Are the sceptical Scots going to believe this silly story that the idiotic gary lineker got a standing ovation from people who were standing to do shopping in M&S?
    I note that the Sunday Post printed this load of nonsense; maybe to give the customers a laugh.

It stinks

Despite the vast amount of money blown on the planned H2S rail link between London and the North, it’s getting ratings of ‘unachievable’ from the scrutineers.
    See a Black Hole, toss all our money down it.
    And if there isn’t one big enough, create it.

More preferential treament

How strange that the Yorkshire police let the Greenpillocks lark about on the prime minister’s roof for 7 hours and the Met didn’t storm the fancy office in London to make arrests for promoting terrorist activities.
    Or is it strange, given the general wonkiness of police farces at the time of writing?
