Creaky Joe Biden is supposed to have gone from $30,000 in the bank to $40 million thanks to public speaking engagements after becoming president. Sounds more like another name for political donations and bungs, given his creaky performances in TV news clips.

Yeah, right
Not trying
You’d think that if the US authorities were putting a really vital Mob witness in front of a Grand Jury, then the bozos would do it in the interior of a building so that some bum of a sniper couldn’t shoot through a window and take out the vital squealer.
But then you wouldn’t have an essential part of the plot of the film.
But if there’s a bad guy on the inside, he could plant a bomb in the meeting room. Which would be more spectacular but more costly to film.
Simple solution
The government is delaying putting illegals on a giant barge because the jobsworths are dragging their feet over fire regulations. Not a problem if they make sure the inmates aren’t allowed to put a dodgy fridge in their room or charge up their electric bikes overnight.

Depressing but true
Would things be better if Net Zero became Smart Zero? Not if experience tells us that sticking ‘smart’ on something, such as meters, is the kiss of death. It’s always a scam because the gadget, or concept, never ever lives up to the sales pitch.
Well Done
A round of applause for the lady who observed that creeps are moaning that the actor who played R. Oppenheimer in the recent film isn’t as tall as the original, but saying nothing about the woman who played Barbie in another rcent film being five feet taller than the original.
My version, much better than reality
Ocean’s B, I thought the film title was to a casual glance. An honest admission that a Chinese copy of the original has a B-team cast? No, closer inspection told me that the assumed ‘B’ was an ‘8’.
Fair Quibble
Logically, the plural of talisman should be talismen. But when did logic ever have anything to do with language?
