I noticed a plastic storage jar in the kitchen the other day. It’s 6" tall, 4½” in diameter and has a bright red, screw-on cap. The labels detailing the contents are long gone but I think it originally contained sweets of some sort; Keiller comes to mind.
Once clear, the plastic body has gone yellow with age. And no wonder. There’s a best-before date sticker on the bottom of the container – for the end of August 1994!
And it’s good for lots more years of service.
