No great breakthrough

A win in an election for the Stormont parliament in Northern Ireland is 46 of the 90 seats. The IRA got less than one-third of them, and about their usual level of support.
    The reason why they look like a bigger chunk than any of the Unionist parties is that the Unionists fragmented and their groups got smaller. But they still outnumber the IRA as a bunch.
