Who he? Who cares?

I recall from the endless string of opening credits for the blob film the name Larry Hagman. He’s in the film and he also gets the directing credit.
    I seem to remember he’s famous for something; being in some soap that I never watched? And here I am, too idle to look him up on the internet. Such is fame.
