That’s the only way to describe comparing the global warming potential of the anaesthetic desflurane with that of carbon dioxide. There can be no comparison between the amounts of the anaesthetic that go into the atmosphere next to the massive emissions from Chinese, Indian and all the other coal-fired power stations.
