More Saturday stuff

The TigerCats went to B.C. to finish Week 10. Gloomy inside with bright sunshine areas! The Lions took their first series to a TD. The Cats got close, penalty, Charge! from the 1, TD.
A TD pass in a sunny zone by the Cats in Q2, 14-7. A flea-flicker play got the Lions to a TD as the half ran down. A long FG gave the Cats a 17-14 lead.
A dive into the end zone from the TC 1 in Q3 gave the Lions a TD. They had a long FG try blocked but managed a pick at the end of Q3. FG in Q4, 17-24. Bomb pass by the Cats to the BC 1, 24-all. Close in the 14th minute for BC, FG, 24-27, 28 seconds left, FG try from a mile away by the Cats, no cigar.

Speed slow to stop

The government has taken well over a year to come up with rules to protect single-sex spaces in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling last April. Actually getting anything done to conform with the rules is another matter entirely given the foot-dragging talents of the snivel service and others.

Another imposition

Letting its staff Shirk @ Abroad as well as @ Home means that the Bonk of England blows £4 million/year of our money on laptops for travellers and stay-putters.

Oh, it’s him, pretend we’re out

The USA had to put up with a visit by that weirdo Edstone Milipede in his capacity as Foreign Sec. this week. Which gave the meeja a chance to recite all the insults that he’s hurled at The Donald over the years during his attention-seeking rants.

First on Saturday

The Edmonton Antlers headed right across Canada to Montreal on a spicy Saturday. A cute end zone pass was picked but the Als managed to block a punt and drove to a diving TD. Close for the Ants in Q2, Charge! to the end zone and 7-all. One for the Als. A long scramble by Alexander was picked by the Ants, TD, 14-all. Close for the Als, diving TD. A FG for the Ants, 17-21.
A fumble by the Ants in Q3 went to the Als, on to a TD. A pick by the Als went to a FG. A FG try by the Ants in Q4 got just a rouge. Another TD for Philpot, 18-41. A TD for the Ants with 4 minutes left. DPI in the end zone, TD for the Als, 24-48. One for the Ants with a minute left. 30-48 final.

Superflation

The price of an ice cream cone with a sawn-off Flake chocolate bar stuck in it was 99p when they were introduced in the 1990s. They now cost £6.50.

Quibble, quibble

They have spent years shoving cash into the pockets of the legal trade but the people trying stop expansion of Gatwick and Luton airports have hit the buffers in the courts.
