Unfit for any purpose
With a general election approaching, it would be interesting to hear the views of candidates for the job of MP on the issue of taking the business of government out of the hands of civil servants and quangos and other Labour party front organizations. The reasons for doing this are manifest, but they include the alleged inspectorate of schools interpreting promoting Britishness as bullying primary school-age girls to be lesbians, the antics of the Care Quality Commission aimed at driving Hinchingbrooke hospital out of business, and the foot-dragging over the “inquiry” into how the country was dragged into an illegal war in Iraq in 2003.
