Getting Serious

‘Major incident’ has now become a cliché button to be pressed recklessly. And it now conjures up an image of someone like Major Frank Burns of M*A*S*H fame in charge.
    What we need are ‘colonel incidents’ – declarations made only sparingly and when fully justified, and with someone of the calibre of Colonel Jack O’Neill of Stargate Command in charge.
