Again from the
Sunday Post: Notwork Rail has announced that the £800 million scheme to cut 10 minutes off the train journey between Edinburgh and Glasgow has been delayed by a year. Which invites the question: Is it really worth blowing all that cash to save 10 minutes? Especially when there are lots of other things more pressing to be done. How many pot-holes in major roads could be repaired given that amount of cash?
