Just a hit & run job?

Do big firms ever check what people are saying on their FaceBuk page? I notice that AMD is getting regular complaints from some guy whose laptop has a video system made by them, which keeps falling over, leaving the laptop unuseable – just like the one I junked last month. And someone else has put a posting containing the f-word there. Maybe they just don’t care.
