A European Commission mouthpiece tried to justify this abuse by saying: “most of us are highly qualified professionals such as lawyers and economists”. But failed to explain why, with all these “professionals” in charge, 10% of the EU budget is lost to fraud, the auditors have refused to sign off on the EU’s accounts for 18 years in succession, and the whole system is rotten with corruption from top to bottom and a monument to wasted cash and opportunities.
No wonder most of the British electorate wants out.
