This is certainly something to bang on about. Deciding the national energy policy is a job for the government, not Supreme Court judges. Which makes their attempt to prevent oil & gas production open to a charge of misconduct in a public office with the sack as the penalty on conviction.
It’s a case which needs to be tried in the court of public opinion, of course, as the legal trade is clearly not competent to be involved in delivering a balanced, impartial and honest verdict.
